Oath & Dagger
Trust the oath. Fear the dagger.
Good players try to pass three of five missions; hidden Evil players sit on the teams and quietly fail them. Even if Good wins the missions, the Assassin can steal the game by naming Merlin.

1 · Everyone
Everyone gets a secret role.
Hold your phone to see it. Most of you are Good. A few are Evil, and the Evil players know each other.
2 · Leader
The leader picks a team.
Mission 1 · 2 players
Talk it over, then the leader chooses who goes. Each mission needs a set number of players.
3 · Everyone
Everyone votes on it.
A strict majority sends the team; a tie rejects it. After three rejected teams, the fourth goes without a vote.
4 · Team
The team plays in secret.
1 fail · mission failed
Good must play Success. Evil may play Fail. One Fail sinks the mission (two on mission 4 with 7 or more players), and nobody learns who played it.
5 · Everyone
First to three missions.
Three failed missions and Evil wins. Three successes and Good is ahead, but not safe yet.
6 · Assassin
Then the Assassin takes one shot.
The Assassin names one Good player. Find Merlin and Evil steals the game; miss and Good wins.
Roles
Add roles as your table grows.
Every game has Merlin and the Assassin. The host can add these; each one replaces an ordinary player of its side.
- GoodMerlin
Sees the Evil players, except Mordred. Must not get caught.
- GoodPercival
Sees Merlin, or two candidates when Morgana plays.
- GoodLoyal Servant
Knows nothing extra. Reads the table.
- EvilAssassin
Knows the Evil team. Takes the last shot at Merlin.
- EvilMorgana
Looks like Merlin to Percival.
- EvilMordred
Hidden from Merlin.
- EvilOberon
Knows no teammates, and they don't know him. Merlin sees him.
- EvilMinion
Knows the Evil team, except Oberon.

Oath & Dagger at a glance
How many players does Oath & Dagger need?
Oath & Dagger on partygame needs 5 to 10 players in the same room. With 5 or 6 players there are 2 Evil players; with 7 to 9 there are 3; with 10 there are 4.
How long does a game of Oath & Dagger take?
Usually 30 to 45 minutes. It ends as soon as one side wins three of the five missions, or after the Assassin's final guess.
What do we need to play?
One phone per player, all in the same place. Nothing to install and no account: open partygame in a browser, create a room and share the code or QR. A TV is optional.
Do we need someone to narrate?
No. Choose the voice host and a phone or the TV reads the eyes-closed opening, or choose the screen guide and each phone simply shows what you know.
How many players go on each mission?
It follows the player count. With 5 players the missions take 2, 3, 2, 3 and 3; with 8 to 10 they take 3, 4, 4, 5 and 5. With 7 or more, mission 4 needs two Fail cards to fail.
Is partygame free?
Yes. Every game on partygame can be played in full for free. No room shows real ads yet; later a free room may show one ad space in the phone lobby, on the final result screen and on the idle shared screen, never during play.
